Murphy Shipping & Commercial Services was formed as a customs brokerage in Lagos, Nigeria in 1975. Market demand allowed us to expand into several locations in Nigeria before opening Murphy Shipping & Commercial Service Limited (MS&CSL) at London's Heathrow Airport in 1981. Our London branch flourished, with several successful major projects that proved to be the springboard for diversifying our service offerings and for greater expansion into Europe, the USA and Central Asia. In 1993, we became the first foreign freight forwarder to open an office in Baku, Azerbaijan. Today, our Group of Companies employs more than 350 staff in 12 offices located around the world, with an online logistics system for packing, tracing and tracking capability. Our services range from customs brokerage to fully turnkey freight forwarding service projects.
